Fayetteville is giving away free wood chips made from cleanup of ice storm damage. Chips are given free to anyone who asks, because of the abundance, at the composting facility, 1708 S. Armstrong Ave. in southeast Fayetteville. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The city has a loader there.
