Red Cross Giving Away Military Benefits


CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The Greater Chattanooga Area American Red Cross is giving away some benefits to military folks in the area. 1. Military Family Fun Day at Rock City and Ruby Falls. The Greater Chattanooga Area Red Cross will be giving away tickets to Ruby Falls or Rock City to family members of troops deployed overseas for Saturday, May 9. Tickets are limited to 6 per family and are available on first come first serve basis. Call the Chapter at (423) 265-3455 to reserve tickets.2. Free CPR/AED/First Aid and Babysitting Training Classes: Active Duty, Retired Military, Reservists and their families can take Red Cross classes at no charge. A limited number of scholarships are available on a first come/first serve basis. Valid Military ID is required. To register call the Red Cross at (423) 265-3455, extension 132.3. The Red Cross continues to collect items for troops deployed overseas. They have received another 50 boxes to fill. Donations are being accepted at the Red Cross office at 801 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37403, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For a complete list of items that troops are requesting, click here.
