The trees will be available to those that reside with the Mt. Vernon city limits by calling the Parks and Recreation Office at 242-6890 on April 21 and 22 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. All trees that have been reserved must be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25 at Veterans Park during the Arbor Day Celebration, information states. The Jefferson County 4-H group will also have Black Cherry, Red Oak, White Oak, Loblolly Pine seedlings available on a first come first serve basis Saturday morning for anyone in attendance. Planting techniques and other educational activities are also scheduled.More information is available by calling the Parks and Recreation Office at 242-6890.
